The ongoing search for new entrances has taken the team all over the cliff face from north to south. 'Coops' about to make a descent over the five hundred feet high cliffs on the north side. Eight hundred feet of rope was used in this exercise which brought two team members to just above the old engine house. The object was to locate an opening in the roof of a stope en route to the sea cave at the extreme end of the workings. The shaft was found but no further attempt has been made to access it. The cliffs are steep and unstable. No attempt should be made to descend them |
