After a distance of just a few meters into the portal, the passage shuts down to just eighteen inches wide making it impassible.

A small waterfall cascades out of the roof giving any 'explorer' a drenching.

This would have been the entrance to the workings in the early days but now only a drainage sough.

At some stage the adit has been lined with stone for for an unknown distance, perhaps for roof support due to the shallow ground at this point.
