The remains at Rushen mines.

A monument itself, the old smoke stack at the Scolaby or North mine is the only visible feature which can be seen for many miles..

This mine was worked by one shaft only.  Known as the Phosphate shaft, it is now only  recognisable as a depression in the ground which can be seen at the bottom of the picture.

The south mine was worked by four shafts.
